Michael Betz is a Partner in the Washington, DC office. He has over 15 years of experience as a marketing and strategy leader and helps lead the Firm’s growth transformation work. In this role, he has led successful growth transformations across a number of B2C industries including retail, higher education, and media. By bringing together the Firm’s expertise in marketing, sales, pricing, and strategy with its proven approach to transformation – he has helped clients reverse falling sales, increase share prices, and prepare for successful exits.Prior to his current role, Michael served as the Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer at Strayer Education. While there, he helped drive improvements in marketing, pricing, and product innovation that enabled Strayer to rebound from the downturn in the for-profit education market. After Strayer, Michael served as Chief Marketing Officer at Ellucian where he prepared the company for a successful sale. Michael earned his BSFS at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, and a joint Masters Degree in Business Administration and Public Affairs at the University of Texas-Austin.Michael is a history buff with a vice for bad science fiction.
