Zhdan Shakirov

Zhdan is passionate about unlocking people’s potential by leveraging good learning practices and technology. He has been with BCG since 2017 and is a member of the BCG U executive team leading Learning Technology and Learning design. In addition to that he works with BCG PIPE (Principal Investors and Private Equity) practice providing expertise on EdTech deals and investments.​ Prior to BCG Zhdan led Finance and Strategy at a Top-3 University and held leadership roles in client education & customer success at Top-10 Asset Management Companies in Russia. Co-author of several BCG publications on L&D and a book “Effective University Management: New Approach”. Zhdan holds an MBA degree from UVA (Darden) and a degree in Finance from REA Plekhanov.​ Zhdan lives in Orange County, California with his wife and 10-year-old rising engineer.
