Zakk Mannella is proud to be a current graduate student at San Diego State University where he will receive his MFA in Musical Theatre in May of 2024. Originally from Pittsburgh, he is a performer, educator, choreographer, and director that has worked professionally across the country. He is currently a teaching associate at San Diego State University where he teaches Musical Theatre Dance and History of the American Musical. Recent performance credits include: Crime & Punishment (The Old Globe), Children of Eden (SDSU - Cain), Cabaret (SDSU - Cliff), Peter and the Starcatcher (Weathervane), West Side Story (Palace Theatre, PA), and Newsies (Pittsburgh Musical Theatre). Recent choreography/directing credits include: Legally Blonde (KSMT - Choreographer), Into the Woods (KSMT - Director), American Idiot (CCAC - Director/Choreographer), and Spring Awakening (ComCC - Choreographer). In 2015 he received his BA in Theatre Arts/Musical Theatre from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City.
