Launched game-changing initiatives that have increased access to education and improved learning for 10s of millions of learners in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa.Vic is the Advisor to all US Programs at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation focusing on AI and Digital Initiatives. Prior to Gates, Vic was the Chief Strategy Officer at Digital Promise(DP) and Founder of the Learner Variability Project(LVP). Vic has raised over $40 million to conceptualize and launch the Learner Variability Project and he helped grow DPG from 25 to over 200 employees in just 7 years. Prior to DPG Vic developed strategies for over $100 million in technology focused grants at the Hewlett Foundation to fund and grow the Open Education movement and create and advance the Deeper Learning strategy. The Open Education movement uses technology to create free, high quality educational material to close the gap for access to education around the world. The Deeper Learning strategy focuses on improving the assessment of higher order skills in order to increase the quality of K12 education.Vic completed his Masters degree in Education and Technology at Stanford University and Bachelors in Systems Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. Previous experience includes 8 years in high tech in Silicon Valley across startups (IPO) and big business.
