Veronica has experience working with tech entrepreneurs and talent across the globe connecting them scale-up opportunities through industry focused incubation. She is currently Executive Director of Technology Strategy at City Colleges of Chicago, a system of seven community colleges serving over 70,000 students.

Previously, Veronica was Manager of ChicagoNEXT at World Business Chicago where she focused on connecting diverse talent to leading tech firms via ThinkChicago, the city’s national talent attraction program. Before WBC, she was the Director of the Latinx Incubator at 1871 where she worked on scaling eleven tech startups.

Before coming back to Chicago, Veronica was a political appointee in the Obama Administration, where she worked to modernize the federal government through a digital transformation. During this appointment, she focused on creating opportunities for diverse entrepreneurs interested in government procurement.

Veronica is also founder of Milpa Services, an innovation strategy consulting firm focused on connecting startup technology to growing industries.

Veronica attended The University of Pennsylvania and is a proud Chicago native. She is thrilled to be back in her hometown working on a movement to empower underrepresented entrepreneurs to build upward social and economic mobility through technological innovation.
