Tyler Matta

Tyler H. Matta embarked on his professional journey as an art teacher within the New York City Public School system. Today, he holds the position of Vice President of Learning Science Engineering at HMH. In this role, Tyler catalyzes teams to build educational products that prioritize equity and are grounded in empirical validation, all aimed at supporting educators and students alike. His expertise spans the development of adaptive learning, adaptive testing, and game-based assessment products, honed through his tenure at Amplify, Pearson, NWEA, and presently, HMH. Beyond his contributions to educational technology, Tyler's academic footprint extends across the University of Oslo, University of Oregon, and Oregon State University.
