Tony’s love for learning and playing led him to academia making a math game and writing about the education technology industry. Before joining Reach Capital he was a co-founder and managing editor at EdSurge where he ran an award-winning newsroom and covered the startup and financing beats. At Reach he continues to tell stories that inform inspire and support education entrepreneurs.Tony was an Education Writers Association Reporting Fellow in 2020 and one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in Education in 2014. He holds an M.A. in East Asian Studies from Stanford and a B.A. in History from UC San Diego.
