Sheryl Cababa

Sheryl is the author of Closing the Loop: Systems Thinking For Designers. She drives a human-centered design practice that is focused on systems thinking and evidence-based design, and is the Chief Strategy Officer for Substantial, a design, insights and development studio based in Seattle. She leads an equity centered design practice focused on using design to help clients reimagine education, working on education investment strategy with partners like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and capacity-building with product teams to incorporate equity-centered practices in their design and development processes. She is also an international speaker and workshop facilitator, as well as an instructor with University of Washington’s Human Centered Design and Engineering program.
