Robyn MacNair, a dedicated champion of arts education for all, brings a rich background as a former design consultant and a passionate educator to her role as the Coordinator of Visual and Performing Arts for the Santa Ana Unified School District, a large urban school district in the heart of Orange County California. With a heartfelt commitment, she began her teaching career in elementary Visual and Performing Arts, nurturing young talents in all disciplines of dance, theatre, visual art, and music. Her journey continued as she shared her expertise in secondary level as a visual art teacher eventually becoming the SAUSD Arts curriculum specialist into Arts administrator, creating an entire arts department within the school district . Beyond her district, Robyn's influence extends to statewide and national levels, where she actively participates in various initiatives, serving as Past President of The California Art Education Association and as Pacific Region Vice President for the National Art Education Association. She has been a fellow of and teacher leader in The California Arts Project statewide. In her community role as Arts & Culture Commission Chair for Santa Ana, Robyn embodies her warm and caring approach to fostering a love for the arts and creating opportunities for all artists of all ages and abilities to flourish.
