At the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, Patrice Dawkins-Jackson is the Director of Organizational Learning and Senior Associate in Networked Improvement Science. Before this, she served as an instructional leader and assistant principal. She utilized her design thinking expertise there to influence professional development, student engagement, and instructional practices. She was a Teaching Ambassador Fellow at the United States Department of Education for two terms. Patrice graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor of science in early childhood education. She specialized in home-school-community and educational leadership while earning a master's in early childhood education from the University of Central Florida. The Project Management Institute (PMI) later awarded her the associate certification in project management. Patrice is a doctoral student in the Chief Learning Officer Ed.D Program at the University of Pennsylvania. She also served on the board of ASCD, is vice president of Coolboys Communicate, and is enthusiastic about systems transformation. Patrice is married to her best friend of over 30 years, Kirk, and the proud mom of two brilliant, handsome boys, Kaden and Parker.
