Monica Sacristan

"Monica Sacristan has been Dean of Executive Development and University Extension at ITAM since 1999. This area reports directly to the University Rector and is responsible for all the non-degree programs in the University, meaning Executive Education and Continuing and Distance Education. ITAM has consistently been ranked as a leading provider of Executive Education in Mexico and Latin America. Monica also serves on the Academic Coordination Board of the Institution chaired by the University President.Besides being responsible for all Executive Development operations, she has designed, coordinated and lectured in several open enrolment and custom Executive Education programs for both Mexican and International companies.Ms. Sacristan served six years on the UNICON Board. In 2006 she served as Vice-chairperson of the Board and as Chairperson in 2007. She is now an Emeritus Board member of said consortium. In 2021 she received the UNICON Lifetime Achievement Award. Monica serves on the EFMD America’s Advisory Board.Monica finished a B.S. in Chemistry obtaining the highest honours, in Mexico’s National Autonomous University (UNAM), where she also studied a Masters in Science in Chemistry. She is an MBA graduate from ITAM, a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program, and holds two Certificates from the Center for Creative Leadership.
