Lisa M. McIntyre-Hite, PhD. is Vice President of Learning Innovation at Guild Education where she leads a team focused on the future of learning, including: Credit for X, short-form, stackable credentials, and category design and management. Prior to joining Guild she served as she was Vice President for Partner Strategy and Innovation at Pathstream, an ed-tech start up that was part of Entangled Solutions, where she also served as a Strategic Advisor focused on the future of higher education. Lisa was the founding Dean for Competency-Based Education at Walden University where she developed Walden’s direct-assessment offering, seeing it through from pilot-to-scale and served as Laureate Education’s Executive Director for Learning Innovation. She currently serves on the Competency-Based Education Network (CBEN) advisory board, the American Institutes for Research CBE research advisory board, and Credential As You Go Advisory Board. She has worked directly with over 70 institutions and organizations to help them better serve adult learners at scale. Her research in CBE and learning innovation has been published by the Clayton Christensen Institute and is featured in several peer-reviewed journals.
