Ken Ross is a Communications Director for Lockheed Martin’s Aeronautics business. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading the development and execution of an integrated communications program that creates, projects, and reinforces perceptions supporting business and community goals, and leading key business services that enhance employee experience. Throughout his career, Mr. Ross has led several critical initiatives for Lockheed Martin, including a high school internship program in Fort Worth, Texas, an overarching communication strategy for labor negotiations, the development of a communication training program for supervisors and award-winning community outreach programs.Prior to joining Lockheed Martin in 2002, Mr. Ross was the public affairs director at the State University of New York at New Paltz where he led an extensive reputation rebuilding effort for that campus. Prior to that, he was the strategic communications director for ComEd’s Nuclear Operations Group (now Exelon Nuclear). Mr. Ross served on active duty with the U.S. Navy from 1983 to 1996 and, after leaving active duty, he continued serving in the reserves and retired in 2004.Mr. Ross graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Economics and Norwich University with a master’s degree in Diplomacy. He was a founding board member of STEMflorida, a statewide organization devoted to addressing science, technology, engineering and math education
