Judy Rich, EdD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL is Professor of Practice in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Texas at Dallas, and an educational consultant specializing in school related issues for quality services for students with special needs, focusing closely on language and literacy skills. She is a retired Assistant Superintendent, Irving (TX) School District, and has expertise coordinating funding mechanisms to promote access and quality education to close learning gaps for children who struggle in school due to extrinsic or intrinsic factors. Judy is a Board-Certified Specialist in Child Language. She has written and presented workshops on a variety of topics for school-based service providers and administrators, and served in school districts as a speech-language pathologist, special education director, executive director of student services, and assistant superintendent. She has also served as President of the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association and Vice President for Finance on the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Board of Directors. Judy currently serves as the 2021 ASHA President-Elect.
