Juan Carlos is a senior executive with a strong strategic management experience and proven leadership in building high performing teams. Passionate disruptor who integrates innovative schemes in business practices. He is currently the Administrative Vice-Chancellor of the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the University; he has been fundamental in the successfully implementation of the University goals for strategic expansion. Also, he was the General Manager and Head of Finance for more than 5 years. Since 2012, Juan Carlos has been the President of CITSIA, a leading company in the Food Industry, offering sketch to scale technology solutions prototyping and maquila for sustainable food products. He is also CEO of Energéticos Plus Company; President of the LEREA Hotel Group and member of the Board of the LEDELCA Real Estate Group. Football soccer is one of his main passions with an 18 years career as a professional soccer player and currently, he is Vice President of the Estudiantes Tecos Football club. Juan Carlos obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara; he holds a MBA in the Global Executive Program from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain and, he is also graduated of the IPADE Business School in the programs of Senior Business Management and Innovation for Senior Management. His academic achievements includes the following certifications: Innovation and Transformation program by MIT Sloan School of Management in Boston; IGLU certification (Leadership and Mangement) by Organizacion Universitaria Interamericana (OUI), he also holds, other certifications from prestigious universities such as Singapore Management University and Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
