Dr. Jose Peña (M.D., FACP, CHCQM, CRC) is the current chairman of the board at Rio Grande Valley Accountable Care Organization Health Providers and serves as the chief medical director at Kaizen Clinical Partners. He is an internal medicine physician dedicated to value-based service for more than 12 years with a focus on process and quality improvements in primary care. Together with his team, he has successfully led groups of primary care physicians in delivering care to underserved populations and achieved remarkable success in managing uncontrolled diabetes patients. He also serves on the Health Equity Advisory Team (HEAT) of the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network.
Peña is passionate about healthcare transformation and serves the South Texas region with a vision to establish health equity across diverse populations.
