Jonathan K. Law is a Senior Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Southern California office. He leads McKinsey’s Global Education Practice. He previously founded McKinsey’s Economic Development and Workforce Development Practice in North America. Since joining the Firm in 2001, he has worked with over 30 higher education institutions, over a dozen US state and local governments, and several leading philanthropic organizations on topics related to higher education access and affordability, teaching and learning, research and innovation, economic development, and workforce development. He has also published extensively on these topics. He is currently helping to lead McKinsey’s contribution to the Rework America Alliance, which aims to help millions of workers, regardless of formal education, move into good jobs in the digital economy by accelerating the development of an effective system of worker training aligned to jobs that employers will need to fill.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Jonathan has worked at the United Nations and the New York City Economic Development Corporation. Jonathan is a first-generation college grad and recently moved to the West Coast after 18 years in New York City.
