Jilliam Joe

Dr. Jilliam Joe is the VP of Learning Insights at LEAP Innovations, where she provides applied research and evaluation leadership and drives the development of a teaching framework and measures for student-centered learning. Her research focus is on the improvement of teaching practices through high-quality classroom observations and feedback. Prior to joining LEAP Innovations, Dr. Joe provided psychometric support for the video scoring design and implementation of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Measures of Effective Teaching study, as well as an observer certification system. She co-authored Better Feedback for Better Teaching: A Practical Guide for Improving Classroom Observations. Dr. Joe is a graduate of Old Dominion University (Masters of Urban Studies, Public Administration) and James Madison University (Doctor of Philosophy in Assessment and Measurement).
