Jan Morrison

Jan is the founder and CEO of TIES - Teaching Institute for Excellence in STEM. Jan was a STEM teacher for 35 years, founding TIES two decades ago. She has served our country’s leading foundations as a designer of STEM schools, systems and STEM content. Jan works with multinational corporations in the USA and globally as they seek to invest in STEM programming and infrastructures to support all students in STEM, now and for the future. She is a fierce advocate for equity, access and opportunity in STEM for all children and has focused on “helping children to make sense of the world.” for her 45 year career. Jan and TIES are co-designers and now serve as the backbone of the STEM Learning Ecosystems Community of Practice, a global network of 100 ecosystems working to improve STEM learning opportunities for all, with a concentration on underserved populations.
