George Benainous

George Benainous is a Los Angeles based educator who has witnessed and been part of the growth of Computer Science and Digital Media in the high school classroom for over 30 years. He was an early adopter of AP Computer Science and in conjunction with educators at UCLA, he was one of the Exploring Computer Science curriculum writers. In recent years, he worked as a CS instructor with SMASH.org, an education program whose goal is to prepare inner city youth for STEM college studies. The topics included data science, user interface design, and augmented reality.
