Coursemojo

Eric Westendorf is the co-founder and co-CEO of Coursemojo, a leading ed-tech company which has developed a best-in-class, curriculum-aligned, AI-powered assistant teacher. “Mojo” is designed to bridge the gap between a district’s high-quality instructional materials and the diversity of student needs. With the goal of supporting teachers and diverse learners, “Mojo” helps educators differentiate instruction by providing each student (MLL, students with IEPs, advanced students, struggling readers) with targeted, Socratic, one-on-one and small group support (in 50+ languages) for core class instruction or intervention. Eric is the former co-founder and CEO of LearnZillion (now Imagine Learning's core curriculum suite), which provides the highest quality curriculum in a digital-first format. Eric sold LearnZillion to Imagine Learning in December 2019. Coursemojo and LearnZillion grew out of Eric's lifelong interest in the design of learning experiences. That focus animated his work as principal and Chief Academic Officer at E.L. Haynes Public Charter School in Washington, D.C., as Assistant Principal of St. Joseph's School in Harlem, and as a teacher in North Carolina, New York, and Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Eric is an Operating Partner at A-Street Ventures, a Pahara-Aspen fellow and board member of E.L. Haynes Public Charter School. He holds a bachelor's degree from Princeton University, a Master's degree in Teaching from Brown University, and an MBA from Stanford University.
