Eilert Hanoa

Eilert Giertsen Hanoa is the Chief Executive Officer at Kahoot!, with a mission to make learning awesome and empower everyone, including children, students and employees, to unlock their full learning potential. Eilert leads Kahoot!’s vision of building the leading learning platform in the world. Eilert came in as the first investor in Kahoot! in 2014 and served as Chairman of the Board from 2015 until he was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in December 2019. Previously, Eilert founded and served as the CEO of the Business Software Solution company Mamut (acquired by Visma in 2011) and then Director of ERP software for Small and Midsize Business (SMB) at Visma from 2011-2018. He is also a board member and investor in several tech companies and start-ups.Eilert is a lifelong resident of Oslo and lives there with his wife and three sons. When not thinking of ways to make learning more awesome, Eilert likes to ski, take long walks and spend time with his family and friends.
