Drew Madson

Drew is a Master Teacher, Harvard Graduate School of Education, Urban Scholar, and Co-Founder and CEO at Readlee. Back when Drew Madson was teaching 10th grade English, a student named Oscar came to him with reading struggles. Drew was pressed for time, so he asked Oscar to send a voice memo of himself reading aloud. Through this memo, Drew quickly diagnosed the quality of Oscar’s practice and developed an effective feedback cycle. Drew realized that inclusive speech recognition could unlock the potential of millions of students just like Oscar. Readlee combines the latest in reading science, speech recognition, and machine learning to drive literacy outcomes for thousands of students around the globe.
