Darren Jones

Darren Jones, Ed.D., serves as the Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships (HigherEd) at Kognito, a brand within Ascend Learning. In this role, Dr. Jones serves as a higher education thought leader and strategist in supporting the awareness and development of virtual role-play simulations that address student mental health, wellbeing, sense of belonging, and culture of care on college campuses.

Before Kognito, Dr. Jones served as the Associate Vice President of Student Engagement at Mary Baldwin University. In addition, he held roles within higher education and student affairs at several universities across various functional areas, including orientation, learning communities, retention programs, student life/activities, fraternity and sorority affairs, intervention services, residence life, housing, academic advising, leadership development programs, community standards, and Title IX.
