Chuck Trierweiler is currently the chief marketing officer and senior vice president, admissions at the University of Maryland Global Campus. UMGC has over 75 years of experience serving adult learners and our military personnel around the globe. UMGC is the largest public online university serving 90,000 learners and has as strong history of serving first generation college students and underrepresented students.Chuck has more than 30 years of marketing experience in higher education, technology, and consumer goods and a record of driving growth across multiple industries. In Higher Education, Chuck previously worked at Capella University in Marketing and Product Management and as chief marketing officer and executive vice president of the Education Corporation of America and Virginia College. Chuck’s marketing foundation is consumer packaged goods marketing with the Alberto Culver Company in Chicago and Stockholm, Sweden. Additionally, he served as global head of product marketing and for ibml, with the $8 billion grocery retail division of SuperValu Inc; and in marketing/product strategy with the Cadillac Car Motor Division of General Motors in Detroit, Michigan.A graduate of Michigan State University and the University of Michigan, Trierweiler has won multiple advertising awards, including three ADDYs; a Bronze Lion from the Cannes Lions Awards; and second prize in Sweden's Advertising Effectiveness competition
