Bridget Hamre, Ph.D. is co-founder and chief executive officer at Teachstone, a certified B-Corporation founded in 2008 to help bring to market innovations that were initially developed at the University of Virginia. She also holds a position as an Associate Research Professor at the University of Virginia’s Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL). Dr Hamre is committed to ensuring that Teachstone brings evidence based practice to scale, with a focus on helping every child and educator reach their full potential by measuring and improving the interactions that matter most. Teachstone works in almost every state and across many countries, providing educators with the tools and support they need to ensure children’s classroom experiences deliver maximum impact. 
Dr. Hamre has worked closely with the federal government, leaders of state and local education agencies, and other educational organizations as they have implemented the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) at large scale. Through this work she centers on the needs of policymakers and educators, while collaborating closely with leading researchers to help ensure these solutions deliver impact when implemented in the real world of educational systems. 
Dr. Hamre’s areas of expertise include student-teacher relationships and classroom processes that promote positive academic and social development for young children. She has published over 70 peer-reviewed papers as well as numerous chapters on these topics. Dr. Hamre received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley and her masters and doctorate in clinical and school psychology from the University of Virginia.
