Dr. Babak Mostaghimi is an educator and education systems entrepreneur. Babak serves as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum Instructional Support and Innovation for Gwinnett County Public Schools where he focuses on building a system for effective innovation supporting GCPS’ continuous improvement of teaching and learning and designing new education models including the K-12 AI model. He began his education career as a 5th grade teacher in Shelby Mississippi where he was the 2008 District Teacher of the Year and a Mississippi Teacher of the Year Nominee. Babak holds a Doctorate in Education Leadership (Ed.L.D.) and a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard and a Bachelor’s Degree from Johns Hopkins.
