Ana Maria Aristizabal has two decades of experience in impact investing, venture capital and education. She teaches impact investing at Columbia University, serves on the board of Village Capital, and over the past 18 months, built a new investment firm to fill a gap in the Latin-American education technology and the future of the work ecosystem. Previously, she led the growth of KIPP in Northern California and led Bamboo Capital Partners’ investments across Latin America. Ana Maria has advised JFF Ventures, UNDP, IFC and hundreds of startups. Ana Maria started her career as an investment banker at Citi and ABN AMRO.Ana Maria has B.S. in Finance & International Relations, an MPA in Economic and Political Development from Columbia University, and a Master’s in Education Leadership from the Broad Residency (currently at Yale).
