Alakh Pandey, the Founder and CEO of Physics Wallah (PW) and Co-Chair of the StartUp Committee, FICCI, is dedicated to democratise education in India and transform the education landscape in Bharat. He embarked on this mission with the establishment of PW in 2020, in collaboration with Prateek Maheshwari (Co-Founder, PW), offering a comprehensive curriculum for JEE and NEET aspirants. Today, Physics Wallah provides affordable, high-quality education in almost every competitive exam in the country, serving millions of students nationwide.Coming from a humble background, Alakh identified the affordability gap in access to quality education during his college years and started his YouTube channel Physics Wallah in 2014 to bridge it. Today, Physics Wallah has evolved into a leading EdTech Company in India, achieving unicorn status in 2022 and is now present in 98% of pin codes in India.Alakh has been recognised as a bright young entrepreneur, achiever, and innovator, receiving accolades such as 'Times 40 Under 40,' 'Teaching Excellence' by Entrepreneur India, and 'Edtech CEO of the Year' by BW Business World. His accomplishments have earned him a spot on the cover of Forbes in their 2023 EdTech Special. Alakh Pandey's philanthropic spirit extends to sponsoring the education of deserving students, which he does regularly.
