Michelle Currie

Event Manager

Michelle is thrilled to be joining the GSV team as Manager of Events. She comes with years of events experience in the non-profit sector, most recently as Director of Events at Teach For America. For the last 10 years, Michelle has managed small to mid-sized events at TFA primarily focused on professional development of our School Leaders of Color, Corps Members of Color, and our Rural Schools Leaders. She has a passion for organization, streamlining systems and processes, operations and logistics. She is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and has a certificate in Virtual Events and Meeting Management (VEMM).

Michelle has a BS degree in Travel/Tourism with an emphasis in event management from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is a St. Louis native and still resides in “The Lou” with her husband, children (when they are home from school), a dog and a jerk of a cat. She loves travel, camping, and time with her family.
