Dr. Kyle Barrentine

Dr. Kyle Barrentine has been serving as an educator for nearly three decades in Indiana. Dr. Barrentine started his teaching career as an English teacher in the Nettle Creek School Corporation in 1993. After teaching for 9 years, Dr. Barrentine began his career in administration as a middle school assistant principal. That year started a stretch of 16 years where Dr. Barrentine served as a building level administrator, with 12 of those years serving as a principal. In the fall of 2019, Dr. Barrentine was named the Superintendent of the Nettle Creek School Corporation where he stayed for three years. In the summer of 2022, Dr. Barrentine was named the Superintendent of the Shenandoah School Corporation where he currently serves. Dr. Barrentine is the proud dad of two daughters, Bailey and Kailyn, who are both elementary school teachers in Indiana. Dr. Barrentine is also the proud stepdad of a rising sophomore in high school (Aiden) and a rising 8th grader (Sloane). Dr. Barrentine is married to Whitney who serves as the Shenandoah Middle School Instructional Coach.
