Join two of California’s top education officials, California’s State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond and Chancellor of the California Community Colleges Eloy Ortiz Oakley, along with ASU President Michael Crow, in a discussion on the future of education in California, moderated by Monica Lozano, president and chief executive officer of the College Futures Foundation. The state continues to grapple with the impacts of the COVID pandemic but also is poised to spend more on education than ever before in its history. To create new opportunities for California students and address the state’s biggest challenges, ASU, as the prototype of a National Service University, last year opened the ASU California Center located at the historic Herald Examiner Building. These leaders will share insights from the nation’s largest state and the fifth-largest economy in the world.
