Kids Media Confronts the "New Normal"

After 2 years in-between home and school, young children (ages 2-6) have:- Increased their media consumption –estimates range from 2 hours or more per day- Attended preschool and primary grades an average of 25% less than in previous years- Are witnessing significant emotional and learning losses, especially among low-income families Innovations to connect kids play and learning experiences online and off are more urgent than ever. This panel will draw from research on learning loss and emotional stressors in the early years and provide real life examples of how media and tech companies are already and must do more to fashion an equity-centered, constructive response.
