Compassion: A Catalyst for Equal Access

Social, economic, health, and environmental justice must be achieved for all people and communities. In order for all to achieve equal access to the future, we must leverage our common humanity. This panel will discuss the utility of empathy and compassion to define and activate institutional and community-wide strategies for building educational spaces and cultures that foster and retain a sense of safety, positive belonging, and purpose for marginalized students and educators in STEM.
