Building and Retaining a K-12 Educator Workforce: Leading for Equity

This panel of highly esteemed and experienced K-12 district leaders will discuss ways to strengthen the education pipeline and bolster workforce development with a focus on creating a more equitable workforce that reflects the diversity of the student population. Panelists will share best practices and effective partners in each of the following six categories: Pre-Service Efforts; Recruitment; Induction & Onboarding; Professional Development & Culture; Retention & Talent Management; and Succession Planning. This panel of district leaders has worked together collaboratively and in partnership with other district leaders to lead for equity by building the right conditions and culture in their unique K-12 circumstances. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges facing school superintendents as they lead their school communities in challenging times, and an appreciation for their dedication and creativity in meeting those challenges with innovative and effective solutions. The session will include breakout sessions and Q&A to engage the audience in the discussion.
