Zahra Razi is a leader in the fields of educational technology and K-12 computer science education, dedicated to empowering teachers and students to use the transformative potential of technology. In early 2024, she was selected as an Amazon Future Engineer Teacher Ambassador, highlighting her efforts to bridge the equity gap in computer science education. With an extensive background in both computer science and teaching pedagogy, Zahra has successfully developed and implemented a middle school computer science curriculum that goes beyond traditional electives. Her innovative approach integrates diverse computer science concepts, including programming, artificial intelligence, physical computing, robotics, cybersecurity, and data science, into core and intervention subjects. Zahra focuses on teaching her students to create responsibly with technology while educating them about the societal impact of computer science and technology. By collaborating with content area teachers, Zahra ensures that these interdisciplinary initiatives create equitable and engaging learning opportunities for all students. In addition to her expertise in computer science education, Zahra brings years of experience as an Educational Technology Coach. She has successfully guided educators in integrating technology, with a particular focus on recent advancements in AI, designed professional developments, and presented at various STEM/STEAM, computer science, and educational technology conferences to empower teachers with innovative strategies.
