Mike Malefakis is the President of University Partnerships at Emeritus, a global EdTech firm that has impacted over a million learners by delivering programs from more than 85 top-ranked universities. In 2024, Time magazine ranked Emeritus as the #1 global EdTech firm. Prior to joining Emeritus, Mike was a Senior Advisor at Leeds Illuminate, focusing on impact investing in education and workforce development. Mike has extensive leadership experience at several of the world’s top business schools, driving growth through innovation at Wharton, Columbia, Chicago Booth, and INCAE. His last role in higher education was CEO & Associate Vice Dean of Wharton Executive Education, he expanded the reach of lifelong learning programs at Wharton to over 70,000 learners annually through both in-person and online formats. Before Wharton, Mike served as the Associate Dean of Columbia Business School Executive Education, where he introduced online programs and integrated digital elements into all on-campus offerings. Mike serves on the AACSB Business Practice Council and is an advisor at ExecOnline.
