Jessica Paulsen is a leader in education innovation and strategy, and nonprofit leadership, with two decades of experience advancing equitable, student-centered learning. As President, Innovation and Impact at LEAP Innovations, she leads research, program development, strategic partnerships, and fundraising efforts that drive transformative practices in personalized learning. She also spearheads the Chicagoland Coalition for Human-Centered AI, bringing together educators, policymakers, and industry leaders to shape the future of AI in education. With 20 years of experience leading education and youth-serving organizations, Jessica has dedicated her career to advancing equity, innovation, and leadership development. Previously, she served as Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer at Distinctive Schools, leading strategic growth, performance measurement, and advocacy across a network of public charter schools. As Executive Director of Pass With Flying Colors, she guided first-generation Chicago students through an eight-year college access and success program. Earlier in her career, she led the expansion of New Sector Alliance to Chicago and directed its national curriculum, developing leadership pathways for emerging nonprofit and education leaders. Jessica began her career as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer and has held roles in fundraising, communications, and community engagement for organizations focused on youth development, hunger, and economic security. She holds a BA in Theater and Communication Arts from Gannon University and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
