Adrienne Usher

Dr. Adrienne Usher has spent over two decades in the field of education and currently serves the students, staff, and community as Assistant Superintendent in Bullitt County Public Schools. Dr. Usher provides leadership and oversight to school principals, all instructional and assessment programming, school counseling programs, site-based decision making councils, technology, federal programs, grants, and human resources. She monitors, interprets, and evaluates federal, state, and local legislation, and regulations to ensure compliance in the assigned areas of responsibility, along with serving as the Superintendent's frontline advocate for strategy initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and consultation. Adrienne has previously served as a teacher, school counselor, instructional coach, principal, and district level administrator prior to her present role in Kentucky and Tennessee. Dr. Usher has participated in leadership programs including the Leadership Institute for School Principals through the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), Deeper Learning Leadership Forum (DLLF), and Kentucky Women in Educational Leadership (KWEL) through the Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA). She was recognized as the 2020 Impact Leader of the Year by the Kentucky Society of Educational Technology (KySTE), and the 2023 KASA District Administrator of the Year. In addition, she served on the Kentucky Council for Advancing Education (KCAE) in 2021 helping to create the statewide United We Learn Report. Dr. Usher is passionate about developing next generation teachers and leaders by having served as a lecturer at University of Louisville and serves on the University Educator Preparation Committee (UEPC). She sits on the Otus AI Advisory Council, KnowledgeWorks Lead for Learners Advocacy Working Group, and is co-chair for the 2025 KASA Annual Leadership Institute Committee. She has presented at a variety of state and national level conferences. Most recently, she has been involved in the Innovative School Systems Grant, with the Center for Reinventing Public Education, creating and piloting learning and assessment practices to reimagine the school experience and collaborating with state level efforts to use more innovative assessment and accountability purposes.
