Finding Our North Star

Focusing on three seminal documents - the Declaration of Independence, Gettysburg Address and I Have a Dream - Cordell makes the argument that nation states are ideas, mere moral expressions of the people who purposely avail themselves to it. And as such, a moral center, a North Star, is required to center ourselves as a nation. Cordell argues that the solution to our trying times has been in front of us since our founding and uses famous words, speeches and historical facts to identify our North Star.
