Kenny Mendes

Kenny Mendes is the Chief People Officer at Grammarly, where he leads the company’s global People and Workplace Experience teams.
Before joining Grammarly, Kenny served as Chief Operating Officer at Coda, overseeing the People, Operations, and Legal functions. As one of the company’s earliest employees, he helped grow Coda from a private beta into a category-defining product used by over 50,000 teams worldwide.
Prior to Coda, Kenny was the first recruiting hire at Box, where he built the recruiting function from the ground up. He scaled the company from 40 to over 1,200 employees and helped lead it to a successful IPO.
Kenny holds a degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley. He lives in Sunnyvale, California, with his wife and two young children, and enjoys playing golf in his free time.
