Redefining the Inner City Public School Experience: How PUHSD Continues

Redefining the Inner City Public School Experience: How PUHSD Continues to Offer a Variety of Choices for All Students In this presentation, Dr. Quintin Boyce, Executive Director of Teaching and Learning, will share the Phoenix Union High School District (PUHSD) journey as they continue to expand the portfolio of schools and programs that are offered to students in the Phoenix Metro area.  To date, there are 10 comprehensive campuses, 1 college and career magnet school (Metro Tech), 4 specialty schools (Bioscience, Phoenix Coding, Franklin Police and Fire, and Wilson Prep - the first freestanding AVID school), 2 support schools, and 2 micro schools that exist within larger communities (Camelback Montessori College Preparatory and The Gifted and Talented Academy at Maryvale).  He will also focus on one of the several newest initiatives, which is redefining the Freshman Year Experience as PUHSD is a Union District that has thirteen K-8 partner districts that feed into our high school district.
