AR/VR in Education

Sam Glassenberg (Level Ex), Aditya Vishwanath (Inspirit), Anson Ho (Microsoft), Heather Shen (Praxis Labs), and Franz Elizondo Schmelkes (Qualcomm, Inc) explore AR/VR in Education at the 2021 ASU+GSV Summit. Exciting things are afoot in AR/VR in education. Our panel brings to the forefront the latest tools impacting classrooms as well as schools. Inspirit’s VR integration with teachers’ daily STEM lesson plans exhibits ways AR/VR can boost student academic success and increase confidence. Level Ex has developed video gamification for medical professionals in teaching some of the most challenging concepts in the medical world. Praxis Labs uses VR to deliver diversity training, increasing students’ empathy in measurable ways. Students and teachers are primed for the adoption of increasingly sophisticated uses of AR/VR, and this panel will take us to the edges of our known reality.
