
Tyler Sussman is Director of Philanthropic Strategy and Partnerships at Learning Commons, the education initiative of Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan. He leads grantmaking and partnerships to fund open research and build public-good AI infrastructure that integrates high-quality learner competencies, instructional materials, and learning science research datasets into education technology tools. His work focuses on improving how AI systems are evaluated, contextualized, and implemented in K–12 education technology to ensure they advance instructional quality. Tyler has spent more than eight years at CZI and previously worked as a high school educator, instructional coach, and edtech partnerships leader.
