Ted Robinson has lived the “Wide World of Sports Broadcasting” for over 45 years. He has called the last 14 Olympics on NBC, focusing on diving and short track speed skating, but branching into biathlon, baseball, whitewater kayaking, freestyle skiing and, yes, synchronized swimming. Ted spent 23 years in Major League Baseball, 9 of those seasons with the San Francisco Giants. He was the “Voice of the San Francisco 49ers” for 10 years and the Pac-12 Network (RIP) for 12 years. His connection with John McEnroe was forged over 25 years at the U.S. Open on USA Network and at Wimbledon and the French Open on NBC. Their partnership was lauded for insight, banter and comfortable chemistry.
