Susanna Loeb is the Director of the Annenberg Institute for School Reform and Professor of International and Public Affairs and Education at Brown University. She recently founded the National Student Support Accelerator to increase access of students in need to high-impact tutoring. Before moving to Brown, Susanna was the Barnett Family Professor of Education at Stanford University. She was the founding director of the Center for Education Policy at Stanford and co-director of Policy Analysis for California Education. Susanna led the research for both Getting Down to Facts projects for California schools. Susanna's research focuses broadly on education policy and its role in improving educational opportunities for students. Her work has addressed issues of educator career choices and professional development, of school finance and governance, and of early childhood systems. She is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Academy of Education and a fellow of the American Education Research Association, the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, and the National Bureau of Economic Research. She has served on the National Board for Education Sciences and as the President of the Association of Education Finance and Policy.
