She is responsible for enabling and growing the public sector education, education technology and state local government business in North & East of India. Her responsibilities include working with the world’s largest education ecosystem of the most innovative education institutes, Edtech start- ups and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Venture Capital (VC), Government departments, policy makers to identify and build partner ecosystem of Resellers, Aggregators and Distributors. With more than 20 years of information technology industry experience, Sumita has held numerous executive positions at Fortune 500 companies such as Microsoft, Adobe, Steria and Wipro. Prior to AWS, she was the Head of Education at Adobe and Director- Education for Microsoft Corporation India Pvt Limited.
