Rich Karlgaard is the former publisher of Forbes (1998-2018) and now futurist and editor-at-large. Karlgaard writes the “Tech Connector” column for Forbes Asia. He is the principal moderator at the annual Forbes Global CEO Conference. He also hosts the Forbes CIO Summit and Forbes Cruise for Investors series.For 25 years, Karlgaard has lectured and moderated panels at business and financial events around the world. He is on the advisory board of the Forbes School of Business and Technology and an advisor to C3.ai and Mach49. Karlgaard's fifth and latest book, Late Bloomers, was hailed by National Public Radio’s Morning Edition, The New Yorker, Harvard Business Review, Forbes India, and the Financial Times. The Wall Street Journal chose Late Bloomers for its C-Suite book club. Karlgaard co-founded Upside Magazine, the Churchill Club and Garage.com. He is a past winner of the Northern California E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year award. Karlgaard holds a B.A. in political science from Stanford and an honorary doctorate from North Central University.
