Nishant Chandra, a graduate of IIT, Roorkee with a B.Tech in Production and Industrial Engineering, received his Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM, Calcutta. Passionate about entrepreneurship, he started multiple startups in college and went on to lead growth during early stages at Unacademy, India’s leading learning platform for competitive exams, scaling to millions of users. Nishant then founded Bolo - a video-based Q&A platform, with his friend and batch mate, Siddharth. During their work at Bolo, Nishant and Siddharth discovered a large gap between the supply and demand of software engineers in the country. This is what drove both of them to establish Newton School, a platform for outcome-oriented technical education, in 2019. Today, Newton School boasts of building 1000+ tech careers, with its students earning an aggregate salary of Rs. 70 Crores. Nishant was recently recognised by Forbes India 30 Under 30 along with his co-founder.
