Known for his dedication to educational equity, Nick Gaehde is purpose-driven business transformation leader who serves currently as the president of Lexia VSL Sopris, Inc. a K-12 education technology firm focused on literacy as a civil right. Joining Lexia in 2005, Nick was appointed as co-president of Rosetta Stone in 2013 where he led through the sale of the latter in 2020, acquisition by Cambium Learning in 2020 and merger with VSL Sopris in 2021.  Immediately prior, he was the president of Educators Publishing Services, a literacy solutions publisher for the K-8 sector.

Nick Gaehde’s deep business expertise also includes a cross section of leadership positions in product management and marketing at Vertigo Development Group, Lotus Development Corporation, and New England Business Service, among others.

He earned a master’s degree from Boston University’s School of Management, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a focus on early childhood development from Pitzer College.

An award-winning servant leader, Nick lends his time and expertise to causes connected to his purpose including board positions with ListenWise and LearnWell, a prior board role with International Dyslexia Society’s Massachusetts chapter, and was recently appointed to the prestigious World Literacy Foundation’s Task Force.
